Game 18: Rams 7, Chargers 6

With week 3 already underway here on Friday the 22nd, it's time for yours truly here to play some serious catchup. Including this game, I've seen 5 Week 2 matchups (Packers-Whiners, Cowboys-Broncos, Bills-Steelers, Redskins-Jets) and hope to get their blog entries up today. I also have seen half of two other games (don't ask) - Patriots-Bucs and Vikings-Ravens. So I've got 9 full games and two half-games from Week 2 to watch and blog. On to it:

Quick notes: There is very little to learn about the Chargers from this game. Leonard Little regularly abused RT Jeromey Clary, one of the few starters San Diego played on either side of the ball. Cletis Gordon was probably their defensive player of the game, 5 tackles and a pick. The Rams had a lot of their act together for scoring only seven points against another team's scrubs. Will Witherspoon and Little dominated on defense, the offensive line blocked well, and the running game even looked good. The big question around here is what the hell is wrong with Marc Bulger, who turned a putrid performance again this week and still has never led the starting offense to a preseason TD under Scott Linehan.
